10 Ways to Reuse Your Blog Content for Marketing

When it comes to running a wedding photography business, you need to be working smarter, not harder. You’re more than likely wearing too many hats to count, managing your workflow, taking care of clients, and hopefully taking care of yourself! This is why we are constantly preaching to our clients that they need to be reusing their blog content in other areas of their business. Let us do the heavy work of blog writing for you, and use that content to continue to make your life easier past the blog post.

If you’re not sure where to start when reusing your blog content, here are 10 different ways you can reuse your blogs to market on other platforms.

1. Pinterest

This is probably the simplest way to reuse your blog content, as all you have to do is create a pin and share it to Pinterest using your blog link! You can also use Tailwind to schedule 20 posts for free each month, so really, if you share 20 different photos from two or three blog posts, that’s like 20 reuses alone!

2. Share with Vendors

I ALWAYS recommend sharing your blog post on your IG stories and giving the other vendors you worked with a shout out, or sending it to them via email so that they can check out the post themselves! If you have a good relationship with the vendors, there’s always a chance they might share your blog to their stories as well, especially if you’ve put together a venue or vendor feature talking about their service(s).

3. Client Workflow

When putting together all of these amazing blog posts full of wedding planning tips, you’ll want to make sure to send them over to new or current clients so they have more resources from you on how to make their wedding day the best! Add these blogs to different parts of your client workflows so that they can get to know your work and how you like to put together a wedding day! This way you can use your blog content to give your couples a more thoughtful and well rounded experience while also driving traffic to your website. Talk about a win-win!

4. Email List

If you have an email list for couples that are in the wedding planning process, I highly recommend sharing your blogs on there! Blogs like wedding day timeline builders, how to budget for your wedding day and local venue and vendor features are the PERFECT blogs to share on your email list. This drives traffic to your site, gives potential clients useful resources relevant to them, and is a further trust builder for them to ideally book you in the near future.

5. Instagram / Facebook Posts

This one is kind of self explanatory, but ALSO there are so many ways to do this. Whether it be an infographic, gallery post, or reel, the content in your blog can be used AGAIN and AGAIN to create different types of content for your Instagram and Facebook.

6. Facebook Groups

Bridal Facebook groups for the town you serve are FULL of couples looking for advice on how to plan their wedding day. Sharing your blog posts is a super easy way to get them to your website and show off your expertise to not only the person asking the question but also everyone in the group! It also lets you show off some of your best work which can attract more couples to book you to be their wedding photographer.

7. Instagram Stories

You can do a story series or share the blog as a link in your stories and add it to a highlight. This is a great way to get continuous traffic and guide potential clients to your website. With stories being such short form content, this also opens the door for you to use a single blog post to cover multiple days worth of stories! Using this blog as an example, each of these 10 points could be their own day of Instagram stories. That’s some serious bang for your buck!

8. Blog Posts

Wait, but aren’t we talking about how to reuse blog posts? Well, you can also reuse blog content as a jumping off point for other blog content. For example, if you were to put together a list of your favorite wedding venues in Chicago, you might also want to put together a list of your favorite wedding vendors that you love to work with at those venues! Or if you’re putting together a blog on how to put together a wedding day timeline, you might also want to include a blog post on why your couples should have a first look linked in the blog. This not only builds your credibility to the reader, but also drives traffic to your other pages and in turn boosts your SEO.

9. Reddit

Much like Facebook groups, Reddit is a great place to find questions being asked by engaged couples, and use your expertise to answer them! Sharing your blogs to answer these questions on various forums will help you to get your website seen by others and help couples planning along the way.

10. Tiktok and Other Video Platforms

If you didn’t realize, long article blog content is basically just a script for long-form content like Tiktoks and Youtube Videos. Repurposing your blog content to be used on either platform is a great way to boost your presence on these sites, drive traffic to your site, and attract potential clients to a place where they can see more of your work.

There are 10 ways you can reuse your blog content to improve your marketing strategy and reach a greater number of potential clients. Diversifying the means in which your content is put out into the online world is SO beneficial to your business. It helps your blog and website grow, it helps your social media presence grow, and ultimately it helps more couples as they’re able to use the resources on your site!
